Tadoussac : an historic village
In 1535, Jacques Cartier casts anchor in Tadoussac, followed a few years later by Pierre de Chauvin, who lands in 1599. In 1600, the first official fur trade post in New France is erected in Tadoussac, which makes it the oldest village in North America, even older than Quebec City. Today, Tadoussac is part of the Club of Most beautiful Bays of the World in the Manicouagan-Côte-Nord region, close to the Charlevoix and Saguenay regions.
The Domaine des Dunes is located in the heart of a historic decor, in the boreal forest, only 2 kilometres from the sand dunes and from Tadoussac, and near all the services. With its campground and its 10 3-star cottages, the Domaine des Dunes will astonish you with its warm welcoming.
